On January 17, hard rock band Indeego lit up the stage at The Osborne Taphouse for a special Girls Night Out event. The female fronted band delivered a high energy set that kept the crowd fired up.
Originally formed in 2003, Indeego rocked until 2008 with founding members Calab Chrisanti, Erin MacMillan, Chris Blum, and Shaun Romich. Fast forward to present day, the band has returned refreshed featuring new members Doug Brezeno, Sandra Epp, Jamie Denorer, and Jeff Korchoski, alongside original member Calab Chrisanti, who continues to anchor the group’s sound.
The night was about more than just great music. Attendees also took part in a 50/50 raffle with all proceeds donated to local women’s shelters. The added cause brought an extra layer of heart to the evening, uniting the crowd in support of an important community initiative.
The night was organized by Pegcity Sound Off, a local Winnipeg podcast focused on highlighting the city’s music scene. Joel Emerson brings musicians and creatives together, from those just getting started to well known names, creating a space for anyone that has to do with music. Judging by the night’s turnout, it was clear he succeeded in bringing a lot of people together.
Despite the bitter Winnipeg cold, over 145 people packed the bar, proving that great music and a great cause can warm up any winter night.
